12 April 2010 " ...the next thing I knwe I was sitting on my own in the Mosquito aka Robinson 22. I took a deep breath, focused, did final checks and before I knew it, I was hovering....on my own. The robbie felt so light, I was up, away on a circuit. I glanced to the seat on my left, yes it was definitely empty, the moment had come 'I was SOLO'. The cyclic more or less seemed to be touching the windscreen. Everything sounded different, the engine, the wind and the balance. I felt exhilarated, for me this was an astounding experience, a moment I will never forget. The intense level of training had worked. I came in with a smooth landing. To hover is really a wonderful sensation. Thanks to the proffessional staff at HELI and my instructor Deon for making it happen"
