Featuring a stunning cockpit capable of simulating almost any kind of navigation instrument, either on a single engine piston, twin engine piston or even twin turbine aircraft, the WX-400 can realistically generate almost any navigation scenario in the most adverse weather conditions imaginable. This flexibility allows our experienced flight instructors to offer training which will allow you, the pilot, to learn how to make safe judgements when flying under pressure IFR or when faced with inclement weather.The flight simulator is an extremely cost effective means of aquiring the training required for one's night rating and instrument rating. The reason for this is that you are allowed under law to do a number of the required flight hours for an instrument, night or even instructors rating on a flight simulator. |
Helicopter Pilots
Although the WX400 is an aeroplane simulator, helicopter pilots can still use it to aquire a portion of the required instrument hours, thereby saving money. The reason for this is that the IFR procedures are the same for both helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. Helicopter pilots will have no trouble adjusting to flying the simulated fixed wing aeroplane - the simulated aircraft is much more stable and forgiving than a helicopter and so after a few minutes of settling in you will feel right at home and will be able to focus on learning the instrument procedures.
